Understanding Hydrogen - MMM #33
Hi there,
Another Monday morning, another Monday Morning Mashup! I haven’t been particularly busy this week, but I’ve finally finished the Essential Financial Modelling course by Gridlines. Now I’ll focus on a real estate modelling course. This week I’ll continue the trend of giving you some interesting things I encountered on the internet this week, including a great productivity tool.
📃 In this Monday Morning Mashup:

Have a great week!
⭐Highlight: Hydrogen Combustion Engines
The energy sector is undergoing a lot of changes. I think it’s important for everyone to have a good overview of the developments in the sector and also to recognize the limitations of certain technologies.
These two articles give you an overview of the state of hydrogen technology and how it could fit into a zero emissions future.
How hydrogen combustion engines can contribute to zero emissions | McKinsey
Hydrogen combustion engines can leverage existing technologies and provide a zero-emissions option for specific use cases while supporting the growth of hydrogen infrastructure.
Hydrogen internal combustion engines and hydrogen fuel cells | Cummins Inc.
Regulations limiting greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) from motor vehicles are tightening around the world. With this, both hydrogen engines and hydrogen fuel cells are receiving an increasing interest.
Given medium and heavy-duty trucks are a major source of CO2 emissions, the transportation sector’s journey to destination zero features both technologies.
🔧Tools: Static Hands - arrow keys on the home row
If you’re an avid Excel user like me, you’d probably find yourself taking your hands off the “home row” of the keyboard to access the arrow keys. They are the only keys you cannot substitute with shortcuts, which is even more annoying if you’ve stopped using the mouse in Excel already.
This week brings a solution: static hands. A small utility that adds the ability to hold caps lock as a modifier. Hold caps lock and the I, J, K, L keys turn into arrows! Check it out below.
🌐Web: Travel inspiration by price (greatescape.co)
I’ve got a strange hobby: looking for cheap flights. It’s something I’ve been doing for years now and it looks like it’s finally been automated. When browsing Reddit for flight deals the other week I encountered greatescape.co, a website that indexes flight prices and gives you a map of prices instantly.
Escape :: Travel inspiration by price and COVID-19 safety
Don’t know where to go? Explore the cheapest trips from your city to every tourist destination in the world on any given travel dates. Compare all the trips on a fun and interactive map with respect to the weather forecast, popularity, safety levels, visa requirements and so on. Escape is a tool created by MIT to help you spot the best deals across every major airline and flight booking website.
🔍Modelling & Valuation: the power of Excel shortcuts
The Financial Modelling World Cup recently posted this comic to LinkedIn, I figured I’d include it here for you to enjoy.
